This is how I started. This is a light, albeit nourishing, blend of very well-balanced fruits and vegetables, a rich source of vitamins A, B-6, B-1,B-2, E, K, and C, beta-carotine, fiber, and antioxidants. In addition, you get an influx of carbohydrates, indole-3-carbinol–that’s right, this crazy-sounding chemical is involved in DNA repair and is known to have anti-carcinogenic effects, and potassium, among other much needed nutrients. All you need are the following fresh ingredients: 2 large stems of broccoli, 1 large carrot, 1 banana, 3 kiwis, 1/2 pound of blueberries, juice from one lemon, ice. Slice up the produce, put everything in the blender and…blend!
Creative veganism with a scientific edge? This blog is going to be awesome!
Thanks, Chris! Veganism is so terrific when done well, and knowing the science behind the goodness is a great way to inform a healthy life. Many thanks for the inspiration!
I agree entirely. Consider yourself bookmarked, the highest honour the internet can bestow 😉
I’m honored 🙂
